Third quarter sticks, stones & bones mini Course
NOTE FROM MRS. TAYLOR: Hi families, I've been hearing that many families are having a hard time adjusting to online learning and completing assignments. I'm going to extend the time frames for all assignments in all my courses for this reason. I'm giving everyone until the end of next week for my "Week 1" Activities, then pushing "Week 2" back, as well, etc. It will take a little while to adjust all mentions of dates in all platforms (webpage and Powerschool), so please be patient if there is conflicting information. My goal is to have as many students as possible engaging in meaningful, enriching discussion about our class concepts, and I would rather have good thinking unfold over the course of a few weeks if that's what we need, than rush kids from assignment to assignment. Please reach out if you're having trouble completing assignments. <3 Love, Mrs. Taylor
Hi there Mini-Coursers!
You should have your Background Essay from Friday and the questions you were working on answering, as well. Your first two assignments build on that learning.
Last week, we investigated how societies communicated before they developed writing.
Below are some cool resources to explore. Check them out, then share your thinking on flipgrid and in the google poll.
1. Try out as many of the resources here as you'd like. You don't have to explore them all (but you totally can!)
2. Record a response in flipgrid. Here's the code to the grid: flipgrid.com/taylorcaveman
3. Tell me your thoughts in this google poll: https://forms.gle/bpV2TczMovSnvdwN8
4. Questions? Problems? Ideas for something cool to do? Message me in Powerschool or email me. I answer all questions as quickly as I can.

Each day there will also be a discussion board post. ** I am adding my questions to the blog page here on my website. This is not as "neat" as the Discussion Board on Powerschool, but it does give us a chance to interact with each other. My hope is that Powerschool will be running more smoothly soon and we can move back there as our main platform.
. Please email me at [email protected] if you have a question and can't find the answer anywhere on this page).
Sticks, Stones, and Bones Investigation #3 - Tools!
Hey there Mini Coursers!
I'll be posting more in this investigation on Thursday, but here are some ideas to get you started....
The videos below ask you to make predictions about the types of tools the prehistoric people may have used. You can use the links below to find out more if you'd like (and really look super smart in your responses)
Post your responses in the "caveman" flipgrid (the same grid where we posted our first videos) https://flipgrid.com/taylorcaveman
